STICKY SLOW ROAST PORK RIBS

This size piece will have about ten ribs. Try to buy a piece that looks nice and meaty.

Ingredients
  • Approx 800g Pork Ribs
  • 1 Small Onion finely chopped
  • 1-2 Cloves of Garlic chopped
  • 250m Tomato Sauce (Ketchup)
  • 80ml Hoisin Sauce
  • 2 Tbs Soy Sauce
  • 3 Tbs Clear Honey
  • 3 Tbs Dark Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tbs Sherry Vinegar
  • A couple of twists of salt and pepper
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 160C (fan) 320F
  2. Put all the ingredients for the sauce in a baking dish large enough to fit the ribs.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Put in the ribs and coat all over with the sauce, leaving the curved side uppermost (like a tunnel).
  5. Cover with foil and cook for 2 hours.
  6. Remove the foil, baste and return to the oven for a further 30 minutes, basting every 10 minutes or so.
  7. Leave to stand for 10 minutes before serving (if you can).
